In this WABC-TV report, Gujarati NRI Dr Sapna Parikh takes you to an office that cares for health of its employees in a unique way. May be in future, we would see many more offices like this all across the world.

We know that sitting too much is bad for our health, but then in most offices, sitting is the only option! What to do?

This poison control call center office has delivered the answer. There are several treadmill desks installed in this office. Employees do all the same work as before, but sit less and walk more. Dr. Parikh tested out a couple of these treadmill workstations. They usually don’t go any faster than 2 or 3 miles an hour but you can increase the incline.

Regular, low impact exercise has many proven benefits, weight loss, reduced risk of diabetes, heart attack, high blood pressure, and more energy.
