Former Congress MLA of Limbdi Bhavan Bharwad to join BJP
January 01, 2012
Ahmedabad, 1 January 2011
Bhavan Bharwad , former Congress MLA of Limbdi, will formally join Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) on 3rd January according to sources.
Bharwad was victorious in 2002 Gujarat assembly election from Limbdi constituency in Saurashtra on Congress ticket, however he failed to defeat rival BJP candidate in 2007 election from same constituency area.
There are many new alignments taking place ahead of the Gujarat assembly election 2012. Bhavan Bharwad’s joining BJP is one more development in this continuing story.
Bharwad is one of the four persons owning helicopter in Ahmedabad. He owns Gokul hotel on S.G.Highway. He has also opened a hospital. Once an ordinary police constable, Bhavan Bharwad later involved himself in land deals. He entered into politics after 2001. He has good connections in Bharwad and Rabari communities.
While BJP is planing to take minority quota issue to streets with projecting OBCs as victim of UPA’s decision, Bharwad is good catch.
