Bharuch gets city bus service, Ahmedabad BRTS contractor as operator

It was a happy moment for the citizens of Gujarat’s Bharuch city today when after a halt of many years, the city bus service was flagged off and started again with three buses on road.
Chartered Speed Private Limited, a private firm that operates the buses of Ahmedabad based Janmarg Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) has been given contract of operating local buses in Bharuch city . District Collector Rupvant Singh, local BJP MLA Dushyant Patel, Chief officer of Municipality Shri Sanjay Soni, Municipality President Sanat Rana were among those present on the occasion of commencing of city bus service.
In recent past, Gujarat’s Patan and Rajkot too witnessed starting of city bus service.
Construction of bus stands, and addition of another three city buses is planned in near future according to MLA Shri Dushyant Patel. Presently the three buses will cover three routes.
Route no 1:Railway station to railway station via Kasak circle, college road, abc chokdi, mangal tirth, shravan chokdi, shaktinath, panchbatti, st depot, tower.
Route no 2: Railway station to Katopor bazar via st depot, panch batti, fata talav, katopor bazar.
Route no 3: Railway station to Zadeshwar via kasak circle, abhilasha tower, GEB, tulsidham, zadeshwar bus stand, zadeshwar chokdi
Route no 4: Railway station to Sherpura via st depot, panchbatti, shaktinath, HDFC bank, shravan chokdi, umraj, sherpura
Route no 5: Railway station to Zadeshwar via kasak circle, abhilasha tower, GEB, borbhatha beyt, panchayat office, patel park, zadeshwar
Route no 6: Railway station to railway station via st depot, panchbatti, jambusar chokdi, sherpara, umraj, abc colony, shravan chokdi, ganesh kunj, mangal tirth, new RTO office, collector office, railway station
