Chief Minister Narendra Modi kept his promise and even when he was on day long fast yesterday, he flew to Jaipur late in the evening and attended the royal wedding of princess of Rajkot.
When Modi was in Rajkot on Sadbhavana fast on 26 December, former Congress minister and Thakor saheb of Rajkot Shri Manoharsinh Jadeja and his son Mandhatasinh Jadeja visited him in the circuit house where Modi was staying, and personally gave invitation to him to come to Jaipur to attend the royal wedding of princess Mrugeshakumariba. Modi said he would come.
Yesterday Modi was busy with day-long Sadbhavana fast at Dakor in Kheda district. Till the evening he was there, but soon after that he flew to Jaipur to attend the royal wedding function.
Modi stayed in the function for an hour or so and also met former BJP Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhararaje who was actively participating in this royal wedding function.
The Prince and Princess received blessings from Modi. The royal youths and other guests were enthusiastic and almost lined up to meet Narendra Modi.
There was a BJP connection in this royal wedding. Fathr of Prince Dhananjai Singh of Khimsar is BJP MLA from Nagaur. He was in fact a minister in BJP government in Rajasthan. On the other side, Mrugeshakumari is grand daughter Mandhatasinhji who joined BJP couple of years back.
