Godhra, 20 January, 2012
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his concluding speech of Sadbahvana mission fast at Godhra today without naming Gujarat Congress or any of its leaders, said they(Gujarat Congress leaders) these days are behaving like a separated tail of lizard that behaves in extra-active manner, but is without any chance of life.
Modi said, “It can be understood that how painful the situation is for them, those who have enjoyed the power for 40 years, those whose flags are always high in Delhi, how painful it could be for them that not they but we are ruling in Gujarat. It’s like a small child whose pen has been snatched away by somebody. That child would obviously create ruckus. Their problem is understandable.”
Modi giving another example further said, “It’s like a tail that has been separated from the main body of a lizard. Though there’s no possibility of life, no possibility of survival, no future, the tail continues to jump here and there in extra-active manner for sometime.”
Visibly in reference to recent aggressive anti-Modi speeches of Gujarat Congress leaders, Modi without mentioning any name further said, “these days, all kinds of bad words, those in dictionary and those that can not be placed in dictionary are used against me. But it is said that once you express your anger, your inner would feel peace. So if they get peace because of using offending words against me, it is also a part of Sadbhavana. And I pray that they continue to shower all bad words against me, if the get satisfaction. Because they too are part of the six crore Gujaratis, and my Sadbhava is for all including them. Like I have said, they can throw any number of stones at me, I would make a ladder using same stones, and will take Gujarat to new height. Country will not go ahead by defaming someone. Media friends should have courage to ask them why they always after Modi when the speak, and why don’t they talk about the works their central government has done. Why don’t they say about the works their central govt has completed in the areas of highways, railway, construction of new airports, they should say something, if they have something so say. But the fact is that actually they have not done anything. When they were out to get votes, they said they would reverse the price rise within 100 days, but what happened?”
Modi said while in other states Congress leaders are giving example of Gujarat as benchmark of development, he doesn’t need to react to those people(Gujarat Congress people) here at home front.
