When Gujarat University Vice Chancellor had tears in his eyes

Gujarat University Vice Chancellor Shri Parimal Trivedi today had tears in his eyes during a small function to honor him. The function was held at GLS auditorium in Ahmedabad. It was organized by Principals of Gujarat University affiliated colleges.

The Vice Chancellor in his emotional address said he would tackle whatever are the adverse circumstances ahead. He said the atrocity case filed against him (by one senate member Shrimali) is fake, and he is innocent.

While saying this he had tears in his eyes.

The Acharya Mandal honored Shri Trivedi and across the partyline, the principals and others admired the works that are done during Trivedi’s tenure.

Shri Sudhir Nanavati described Shri Trivedi as a Vice Chancellor who worked without worrying about safety of his chair.Congress leader Narhari Amin too praised Shri Trivedi and his works in his seven-year term. All Principals, Professors and Trustees of different colleges said they will firmly back Shri Trivedi in his battle for truth.

It should be noted that one senate member Shrimali had filed complaint against Shri Trivedi under atrocity act some three and half years ago. Police had not found much truth in this complaint, but the Gujarat High Court yesterday in its order told police to frame charges against the VC within 15 days and submit a action taken report. After this decision of Gujarat High Court, the police summoned Shri Trivedi.
