Gujarat Jewelers to shine at Oro Nyuzmakers Cricket Challenge

Ahmedabad, 29 February, 2012

Jewellery Retailers of Gujarat will meet, play and interact during Oro Nyuzmakers Cricket Challenge – an underarm Cricket Tournament, specially for jewelers. Beginning from 29th February 2012 to 2nd March 2012, it is an innovative Box-Cricket Tournament with a fun format played under a different set of rules that makes it far more interesting than the regular bat and ball game.

The highlights of this format are:

· 12 jewellery teams to participate

· The matches will be at Shaishya Tennis Club, opp YMCA on SG Highway and from 6.30 pm to 10 pm under floodlights

· It will be an underarm cricket tournament played with softball in a box format

· Each team will have 9 members of which 2 will be women

· ORO is the Presenting Sponsor, Dharmanandan Diamonds is the Co- Sponsor, The Retail Jeweller is Trade Media Associate

· Some of the leading retailers who have confirmed participation are K.K.Jewellers, Ishwarlal Harjivandas, Parasmani Jewels, Zaveri & Co and even the brand Forever. Teams from Baroda are also coming Radhika Jewels and Damodardas & Co.

The event will have the gracious presence of the television star Mr. Nandish Sandhu, male lead in the popular TV soap, Uttaran. Mr. Sandhu first began his stint with TV on the show Kasturi. He is not only a famed actor but also a model having started his career by walking the ramp for designer Anuj Khanna. For doing his part in serving society, Mr. Sandhu headed an anti-drug campaign in Delhi and wishes to bring the same message across other cities in India. He is set to marry the popular TV actress, Rashmi Desai.
