Ahmedabad airport today witnessed chaos after the passengers of a Jaipur-Pune SpiceJet flight were deplaned here citing a reason of technical snag.
The passengers going to Pune from Jaipur were told that the aircraft had developed some technical fault.
Following this the pilots decided to land midway in Ahmedabad.
However after hours of waiting for some alternative arrangement, the passengers cried foul when they found later that the plane, that was meant to go to Pune, left in fact for Delhi from Ahmedabad airport with some other passengers on board.
When the passengers confronted the officials of SpiceJet at the airport, they were told that the plane had been sent to Delhi for repairs.
But the airline could not explain to the stranded passengers how a plane with a technical snag took off for Delhi.
Angry passengers said they received no help from either the airline or the police who refused to listen to their complaint. When the airline was contacted, it said the plane was sent to Delhi for repair.
The SpiceJet management later said that there was indeed a technical snag and that an alternative arrangement was made for the passengers who were deplaned from the Jaipur-Pune flight.
