Ahmedabad, 2 April, 2012
Women’s wing of Congress party in Rajkot led by Kashmira Nathwani today removed the hoardings featuring an advertisement of Rocky underwear, claiming that such hoardings showing nude male wearing only underwear are inappropriate for public exhibit. The flex-material hoardings were removed and torched in public.
The advertisement in question was featuring a male model wearing just underwear on his body. Congress leader Kashmir Nathwani was of opinion that when thousands of ladies pass through this road, such hoarding must not be allowed here.
She said local civic authority, owner of the hoarding, thinks only about earning revenue, even at the cost of cultural values.
