News published in my name baseless and false:Dolatbhai Desai

Senior MLA of Gujarat assembly and head of Privilege committee Shri Dolatbhai Desai today issued a statement saying that the news reports published in media in his name are totally baseless.

Desai in his statement said, “wrong news published in my name are unauthentic and baseless. I have not talked to media at all. Gujarat Congress has habit of spread false news. I have not talked to any newspaper or any other media on my decisions or work.”

Shri Desai further said in his statement that the assembly house is supreme for everyone and all committee chiefs have to do the tasks as per the rules. I understand my duty as the head of the Privilege committee very well, and I will continue to work as per the rules of assembly. I am clarifying this to prevent spread of any more false headlines in the newspapers on this issue.”

It should be mentioned here that section of media had published news item claiming that the Chairman of the Gujarat assembly’s privilege committee had refused to hold an inquiry into the iPad row involving two BJP MLA; citing the clean chit given to them by the assembly speaker on the basis of the FSl test reports.
