A quick look at by-elections to be held on Sunday, April 8th, 2012. The list includes one Municipal Corporation ward, 8 Municipality wards, 5 district panchayat seats of 3 district panchayats, 20 seats of 14 taluka panchayats.

-Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation ward no 36 in Bapunagar area.

-Ward elections of Municipalities such Pethapur, Keshod(2 seats), Kalavad(2 seats), Talaja, Porbandar and Karamsad.

-Seat elections of District panchayats. Vadtal seat(Kheda), Vaso(Kheda), Lavana(Banaskantha), Thavar(Banaskantha), Sarasia(Amreli).

-Seat elections of Taluka Panchayats. Kanz(Detroj), Fagvel(Kathlal), Chada(Kheralu), Nanivada(Kheralu), Chitrasani(Palanpur), Dhandha(Palanpur), Gadh(Palanpur), Samdhi Movas(Palanpur), Takarwada(Palanpur), Vagada(Palanpur), Nilpur(Dantiwada), Gandhara(Karjan), Shale-2(Nizar), Dhamni(Dharampur), Raniar(Zalod), Ramod(Kotdasangani), Simar(Una), Sindhaj(Kodinar), Kukas(Shinor), Kayavarohan(Dabhoi). Total 20 seats.

BJP candidate has been declared victorious unopposed in ward no. 9 in Nadiad Municipality.
