Modi to present O.N.E India award to Nabam Atum in Mumbai

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will be in Mumbai tomorrow to present ‘One India’ award to Shri Nabam Atum. The award function has been organized by “My Home India”.

O.N.E India award is an annual award instituted by My Home India to honour a person who has contributed to the national cause in North East India. The award function this year will be held at Ravindra Natya Mandir near Siddhivinayak mandir in Mumbai. Shri Ekanath Thakur (former MP, Rajya Sabha and national President of My Home India) will preside the function.


About Shri Nabam Atum

Shri Nabam Atum is a great social worker who has dedicated his entire life for strengthening he national fibre in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. he has worked selflessly to awaken people against China’s aggression and evil designs across the border and against anti-national elements within the state. he has been an abundant source of inspiration, particularly for the youth and a role model for those who aspire to devote their life for the national cause. He is a natural leader and has been in the forefront of many social movements in Arunachan Pradesh.

Shri Nabam Atum was born on 15th of March, 1948. He became the first graduate in NISHI tribe from Arunachal Pradesh. He has served the state government in various capacities with unmatched integrity and has an unblemished career. He was appointed as the Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.

He has won the battle for life against cancer and has remained devoted to the social cause. He has undertaken many padyatras in the remote and inaccessible areas along the Indo-China border. he has united the outh and has enlightened them about the seriousness of threat from China.

He has served following organizations with distinction:-

-Social welfare and Forest Preservation Association as Chairman.
-Dikrong Multipurpose Co-operative Society as Chairman.
-Arunachal Pradesh Seva Sangh, Dohimukh.
