Ten Gujarat Congress spokespersons appointed

On recommendation of Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjun Modhwadia, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appointed ten spokespersons in Gujarat. They are Shri Gauravbhai Pandya, Shri Jayantilal Parmar, Professor Kishorsinh Solanki, Dr. Manish Doshi, Shri Chetan Raval, Shri Himanshu Vyas, Shri Jayrajsinh Parmar, Shri Hriday Buch(advocate), Shri Amiben Yagnik(advocate), Shri Hiteh Patel (Pochi).

Earlier there were five Congress spokespersons in Gujarat namely Shri Jayantilal Parmar, Dr. Manish Doshi, Shri Jayrajsinh Parmar, Shri Himanshu Vyas and smt Ashifa Khan(Bharuch). But in new panel there are ten spokespersons. While four old panelists are continuing, one Ashifa Khan has been dropped. Among new names Gauravbhai Pandya is Ahmed Patel’s pointman in Gujarat. Chetan Raval is former popular Gujarati TV star and businessman. He is son of former Home minister of Gujarat late Shri Prabodh Raval. Chetan has been unsuccessful in winning the assembly elections in past, but he has good relation particularly in TV news media. Congress has added couple of advocates to its media team which would help the party in TV debates, including TV debates in English for national channels.Hitesh Patel, a right hand man of former deputy Chief Minister Narhari Amin was associated with Gujarat Cricket Association, and he has good relations in Ahmedabad based print media.
