Next after Ghar nu Ghar:100 vaar plots, state’s own MNREGA

Encouraged by reponse to its ‘Ghar nu Ghar‘ scheme, Gujarat Congress is now all set to announce a free-plot scheme, and state’s own MNAREGA scheme under its 12-point poll agenda.
While ‘Ghar nu Ghar’ scheme targets homeless families of urban Gujarat, the free plot scheme will target rural areas of Gujarat.
Sources told DeshGujarat that Gujarat Congress’s free plot scheme will offer 100 vaar (900 square ft) plots to rural homeless families. Forms of this proposed schemes will be distributed in the villages.
Sources further told that Gujarat Congress will also declare state’s own MNAREGA scheme. Presently the central government provides 100-day employment to unemployed rural people under existing MNAREGA scheme. According to sources, Gujarat Congress – if elected to power in Gujarat – will provide employment for another 100 days period.
