Anand-Vallabh Vidyanagar-Karamsad Urban Development Authority(AVKUDA) formed

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today took a decision to form an urban development authority for urban areas of Anand-Vallabh Vidyanagar and Karamsad.
The new authority will be called Anand-Vallabh Vidyanagar-Karamsad Urban Development Authority (AVKUDA).
The district collector of Anand has been appointed Chairman of AVKUDA while Prant officer has been appointed as its Secretary.
The new authority will cover 32 villages of Anand taluka and 2 villages of Petlad taluka, thus total 34 talukas and 283.34 sq km area.
With this, the government has scraped Anand-Vallabh Vidyanagar-Karamsad’s separate urban development authorities.
