Gujarat Congress will hold a big rally of farmers in third week of August to address the issue of crops insurance. This was announced by Congress party’s national general secretary and Gujarat Congress incharge Shri Gurudas Kamat in Ahmedabad today.
“The Gujarat government provided incomplete details to insurance company, due to which the farmers are going to lose crop insurance worth Rs. 1600 crore. The Gujarat government should admit its mistake and provide provide details about crop insurance to insurance company,” he said.
He said India’s 67% people are to be benefited by Food security right. 58% people of Gujarat are also going to benefit through this scheme. The BJP should stop playing politics over Food security issue.
After becoming Gujarat Congress incharge Kamat has met Congress leaders in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat. He will now go to Rajkot tomorrow to meet party leaders from Saurashtra and Kutch regions.
