Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivrajsinh Chouhan today denied reports that he had objection to Narendra Modi being declared as PM candidate.
“Reports in certain sections of media around my objection to Shri Narendra Modi being declared as PM candidate are baseless and misleading,” he tweeted.
“In BJP, the party is supreme and it will decide and declare the PM candidate at right moment. Any speculation in this regard is avoidable,” he further stated.
There were reports quoting sources in section of media suggesting that Chouhan wanted Modi to be declared as PM candidate of BJP only after state elections, because Modi’s announcement could harm Muslim votes.
