Ahmedabad, 4 November, 2013
U.K. Prime Minister has posted a tweet in Gujarati language today. In his tweet he says, My best wishes to all who celebrate Diwali in UK and in entire world.

The US President Barack Obama has tweeted Saal Mubarak on his tweeter handle. Saal Mubarak is popular term used by Gujaratis to greet one another on Gujarati Vikram Samvat new year day.

Last year
Last year UK Prime Minister had tweeted wishes for not only Diwali, but for also a Gujarati new year by mentioning Saal Mubarak.

Sameway American President Obama had also wished Saal Mubarak in his Diwali tweet last year.

However the Indian Prime Minister, whose Twitter handle is @PMOIndia has – like last year – so far failed to tweet Saal Mubarak on Gujarati new year day.
