AMC to develop 19 new road stretches as model roads

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) is developing 19 more road stretches as model roads under its phase-2 drive at a cost of Rs. 127 crore.

Under phase-1 the AMC has already developed 7 road stretches as model roads that include Keshavbag to Pakvan junction, airport to Indira bridge, Pallav char rasta to Karnavati motors, LD college to Usmanpura char rasta, Dafnala to Delhi darwaja to Gandhi bridge, Jaymala to Meghaninagar and CTM new cloth market.

Apart from other things, the model roads are strictly kept free from hawkers.

-Kankaria gate to Big Bazar to Raipur BRTS road

-SP office to Viratnagar char rasta to ring road via old Odhav octroi post

-Nehru bridge to Sidi Saiyed jaali to District panchayat office to Ellis bridge

-RTO circle to Subhash bridge to under bridge

-Dudheshwar bridge to Dariakhan ghummat to Police commisioner

-Pallav char rasta to Naranpura to Dr. Amin junction

-Stadium circle to HL commerce six road to Vijay Char rasta

-Janpath hotel to Motera village to Gandhinagar highway
