Don’t be over confident, target booths not seats, one full timer per Shakti Kendra: Narendra Modi to Gujarat BJP cadre

Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi today asked partymen in Gujarat to ensure victory over 90% polling booth. Shri Modi asked partymen not to be overconfident and work hard. He said the best party worker is one who works hard when time is good for the party.

Modi spoke about good response to BJP rallies and in reference to this he said, “one would like to go to sleep after having lunch with so much mango content in summer. We should not behave in such manner. If a partyman thinks everything is good and rests, it brings disaster.”

Modi said generally in Gujarat the party wins 65-70% polling booths, but this time it needs to win 90% polling booths. Modi asked partymen to keep everything else aside and target victory in 90% polling booths. He asked, “if you win 90% polling booths, shall there be any difficulty in winning 26 Lok Sabha seats then?”

Modi asked party men to reach out to the people with the message that year 2014 elections are for building the nation, changing the future of the nation. It will be a new turning point.

Modi said in the past some people could be our political opponents. They could have different ideas, but they should be told that Gujarat has a major role to play in this elections. Everyone has Gujarati pride lying inside, we just need to reach out.

Modi asked party cadre to contribute one full timer ‘Vijay Vrati’ at every Shakti Kendra for next 200 days ahead of the Lok Sabha general elections.

Modi also asked taluka panchayat presidents, taluka BJP presidents, MLA and others to have atleast 50,000 local followers on social media website(Facebook or Twitter). Modi said he himself use his mobile phone and find many party men active on social media by sharing their activities. Modi said this connection is very important and partymen should use this platform.

Modi asked party workers to ensure success of iron collection drive which is going to start from 15 December. He also mentioned the role of party workers in the elections of other states.
