AMC shares details of 9,959 unit EWS and LIG housing projects

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) will build 5082 houses for Economic Weak Class(EWS) and 4877 houses for Low Income Group(LIG) segment. Thus the AMC will build total 9,959 houses.

Housing schemes will be built at 29 different places including Vejalpur, Nikol, Chandkheda, Chandlodia, Thaltej, Kali, Vadaj, Vastral, Kankaria, Shahibag etc areas.

Apart from lands reserved for housing in approved TP schemes, the AMC will also use 20% land of closed mills.

EWS housing:

-Family’s annual income less than Rs.1 lakh
-28 sq.m carpet area and 33-35 sq.m built-up area house.
-Estimated cost of construction will be around Rs. 5.50 to 6.00 lakh. Allotment will be made for Rs. 3.00 lakh.
-Ground plus five floor housing.
-Maintenance deposit of Rs. 30,000 to be collected at the time of possession.
-Rs. 7500 payable at the time of application
-Rs. 100 stamp paper registration of house.
-Form and booklet to be available for Rs. 50.

LIG housing

-Family’s annual income between in the range of Rs. 1.00 lakh to 2.50 lakh.
-4500 sq.m carpet area and 52-53 sq.m built-up area house.
-Estimated construction cost Rs. 11.50-12.50 lakh. Allotment at Rs. 10.50 lakh to 11.50 lakh estimated.
-Parking plus 7 and parking plus 10 floor housing.
-Rs. 50,000 maintenance deposit payable at the time of possession.
-Rs. 20,000 payable at the time of application.
-Stamp duty registration mandatory. Relief will be given as per the rules.
-Form and booklet available for Rs. 100.

Details:

-Beneficiary will not sell or give on rent his unit for 7 years.
-Water supply, gutter, power, internal roads to be provided.
-School, playground, health center facilities only where number of houses is higher.
-Beneficiary to be selected through computer draw.
-Those selected in draw will need to pay minimum 20% amount (excluding deposit paid at the time of application). Rest of the amount payable in 10 installments. Total amount will need to be paid at the time of possession.
-Ownership will be given jointly. Woman member will be the first owner.
-Beneficiaries will be provided guidance on loans from empanel banks.
-Post-possession take care of common amenities will be handled by association.

Forms available at AMC city civic centers, Mahindra Kotak Bank and ICICI Bank branches.
Last date of application is 24 December 2013.

AMC will build 465 shops and 12 offices for cross subsidy purpose. They will be auctioned.
