GSPC announces drastic cut in CNG, PNG prices

Gujarat government run company GSPC today announced further cut in prices of CNG and PNG effective from 20th February.
In one and half month, CNG price has come down by Rs. 21.40 in Gujarat.
According to an announcement made by state government today, PNG rate will come down by Rs. 7.05 per unit while CNG rate will come down by Rs. 11.30 per kg with effect from 20th February.
Presently GSPC provides 1 kg CNG for Rs. 56.20 at its CNG stations. The new rate including tax will be Rs. 44.90. Thus CNG will be 56% cheaper compared to petrol and 19% compared to diesel.
A decision has been taken to abolish slab-based billing method for PNG home users. Existing per unit PNG price which is Rs. 30.55 at present shall come down by 23% after Rs. 7.05 cut. New rate will be Rs. 23.50(excluding tax).
State minister Shri Saurabh Patel shared these details and said this is a victory of state government against centre’s injustice.
