Voters will get wedding like invitation to vote

The Election Commission has taken a decision to declare some polling stations in every district as model polling stations.

Each model polling station will have facilities like ramp, wheel-chair, water cooler, urinal facility etc.

Each voter who is going to use such model polling station will be invited to vote through wedding like invitation.

The election commission has identified the polling station with record of low turnout in previous elections. Big banners, hoardings, field publicity, documentary shows will be organized to encourage more voters to exercise their right in such areas.

Meanwhile district collectors have started paying visits to vulnerable polling stations. Such polling station will have separate police force, CRPF team, observer, micro observer and web casting facility.
