Gujarat BJP reacts to Sharad Pawar

Ahmedabad, 3 April 2014

Gujarat BJP has today issued a statement in reaction to Sharad Pawar’s allegations against Gujarat government over cattle feed donation to famine affected Maharashtra.

Gujarat BJP spokesperson Shri IK Jadeja in a statement said: Mehsana Milk Federation sent over Rs. 22.50 crore donation of cattle feed, but there are no authentic evidences of sending this aid. This proves a point that Mehsana Milk Federation has committed corruption. The Gujarat High Court is looking into this issue. Sharad Pawar should take notice of corruption allegations against Mehsana Milk Federation. Sharad Pawar should take notice of Gujarat High Court’s 28 December and 23 December 2013 verdicts that mention corruption and irregularities in Mehsana Federation.

Federation had announced that it had sent Rs. 22.50 crore aid to famine affected Maharashtra state. But it was sent in which transport, its bills, papers, receipts of arrival of stock and other documents are not provided by Mehsana Milk Federation when High Court asked to submit. This makes it clear that Mehsana Federation has committed corruption and irregularity which is breach of trust with members, milk producers and others.

Gujarat is charitable state. Whenever other states suffer natural calamity, Gujarat has always stood up to help.Uttarakhand is latest example of this. Sharad Pawar has lost mental control and as he is clearly seeing his defeat, he is daily coughing new statements against Modi to mislead the people.
