Vadodara, 9 April 2014
In reference to a statement by Congress candidate on Vadodara seat Madhusudan Mistry, Sri Sri Ravishankar led Art of Living has issued a statement denying any event of Sri Sri in poll-bound Vadodara this month.
The statement reads: “Sri Sri does not have any program in Baroda on 23rd April. In fact, Sri Sri is not even in the country on that day. These are unfounded & baseless allegations to say that Sri Sri is campaigning for a particular party on a particular day. Sri Sri has made it very clear that he will not be campaigning for any party or any person.”
Mistry has reportedly complained to the Election Commission of India to not to allow the events by the Art of Living Founder, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev, in Vadodara before the Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat.
Mistry told media persons that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Baba Ramdev had their events scheduled in Vadodara respectively on 23rd and 26th of April, respectively.
