Ahmedabad, 8 May, 2014

BJP prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi today apologized to Maa Ganga(river Ganga) for not being able to perform Aarti today. Shri Modi tweted apology following permission problems thanks to local Returning Officer’s alleged partial approach, and Election Commission’s inaction over this issue.

Shri Modi appealed to his karyakartas to maintain peace and ensure that people don’t face any difficulty. Shri Modi issued this appeal following BJP’s scheduled dharna at Lanka gate in Varanasi against Election Commission’s inaction.

Following are the tweets by Narendra Modi:

-My profound apologies to Ganga Maa for not being able to perform Aarti today. Wish these people know that a Mother’s love is above politics.

-I appeal to my Karyakarta sisters & brothers to maintain peace & ensure that people do not face any difficulty.

-It is unfortunate that EC is not concerned about the institution’s neutrality & that is why our Karyakartas have to embark on a Satyagraha.
