AMC to make its 4,800 part-time daily wagers, full timers

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has taken a decision to make 4,800 part-time daily laborers into full-timers.
Daily drivers and conductors of AMTS who are getting payment as per the fifth wage board are made permanent as per the fifth wage board. They will be given benefits of sixth wage board in year 2015-16 after making provision for same in 2015-16 budget.
The AMC is positively thinking about appointing fire brigade volunteers to vacant posts of firemen.
