Gujarat seeks direct flight to NJ/London, regional HQ of AAI

Gujarat Civil Aviation Minister Saurabh Patel today called on union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Raju and suggested him to set up regional office of Airport Authority of India coverubg Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat in Ahmedabad. He also demanded more national and international flights connecting Gujarat.
Saurabh Patel particularly demanded Delhi-Bhuj-Rajkot-Delhi, Delhi-Surat-Bhavnagar-Delhi, Surat-Kokata, Surat-Bengaluru etc flights.
He also demanded Vadodara-Dubai, Surat-Dubai and Ahmedabad-London-New Jersey-London-Ahmedabad direct international flights.
He also demanded that Vadodara and Surat airports should be declared international airports. Expansion of Ahmedabad’s domestic terminal, boarding arrangement to state government aircraft through GUJSAIL security etc were other proposals, Gujarat minister made before union minister.
Saurabh Patel is visiting Delhi on Thursday and Friday to participate in conferences of Tourism ministers and Industry ministers of various states.
