CM appealed the voters to gift victory over all 10 seats when PM visits Gujarat on his birthday Kicking off the election campaign for by-polls in Gujarat, Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel addresses a rally at Khambhaliya in Jamnagar today. She appealed the people to gift victory in the by-polls as a gift to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on his birthday.
Smt. Patel shared that PM Shri Modi is going to come to Gujarat, to meet the visiting President of China on September 17. The same day being PM’s birthday, Smt. Patel appealed that it is the responsibility of people of Gujarat to gift him victory over all the 10 seats where by-polls are scheduled.
She said, “Elections are going to take place on 13th and results are to be declared on 16th. And on 17th Chinese President is coming to Gujarat. And it is fortunate development for us because no President visits such a small state during his foreign visit. And here the President of such a powerful nation like China is coming to Gujarat. And this 17th September is birthday of Narendrabhai. In Congress era when Congress Chief Ministers were visiting Delhi, they were not given even little importance. Now when Narendrabhai is Prime Minister, some country’s president will come to Gujarat and has been ready to sign MoU. This has not happened in the past and this will not happen in future also. On 17th Narendrabhai himself is coming to Gujarat to honor Chinese President. So what shall we gift to Narendrabhai who has donated all gifts presented to him for the cause of girl child education. When he moved to Delhi, Narendrabhai donated Rs. 25 lakh from his bank account for girl child education. He has not taken anything from us. Such a person with great character he is. And therefore I say that when he arrives here on 17th, we need to gift him all 10 seats.”
In her address, Smt. Patel said that for 40 years since the foundations of Gujarat, Congress government continued to be negligent to the needs and development of the people of Gujarat. Female literacy rate in Gujarat was only 58% till 2001. But under the vision of BJP, Shri Narendrabhai Modi worked relentlessly to ensure the spread of education, because of which, today every girl of Gujarat goes to school. Handing over the baton of CM to a woman candidate, Shri Modi has set an illustrious example of women empowerment. Smt. Patel shared that before taking up his new role in Delhi, Shri Modi gave away Rs 25 lakh in his bank account for the development of women in Gujarat. Such is the vision and commitment of Shri Modi, she said.
Smt. Patel said that Gujarat is committed to the legacy set by Shri Modi’s Gujarat model of development. Today Gujarat’s all-round development has caught attention of countries across the world. Because of which, heads of leading countries choose to visit such a small state like Gujarat. She shared with the people that Gujarat is moving ahead as ‘Gatisheel Gujarat’, on the carved path of Shri Modi.
Campaigning for Khambhaliya Vidhansabha BJP candidate Mulubhai Bera, Smt. Patel said that with a motive to extend services to the people of Dwarka, modern Seva Sadan facility will be set-up in the district. Anandiben said, a 150-bed hospital conceived by Narendra Modi is under construction at Dwarka and it will be ready with doctors by December this year. She said SAUNI project work has been kicked off and it will be completed in time.
