Ahmedabad, 26 September 2014

Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today arrived at New York’s John F Kenedy airport.Dressed in dark brown Jodhpuri, Narendrabhai after arriving at airport straight away drove to New York Palace hotel in a convoy of black cars. At least couple of hundred NRI supporters of Shri Narendra Modi were standing outside the hotel waiting for Modi. They were wishing to watch a glimpse of Shri Modi for a while. They also wished Narendra Modi to stop for a moment and waive hand at them. Some of them spoke to Indian news channels. One gentleman said that India has seen many Prime Ministers, but Narendrabhai is Prime Minister of Bharat and that’s special. Another gentleman said that he was from Houston and there were couple of hundred people reaching New York for Narendrabhai’s Madison square garden address from Houston. Another gentlemen said he was from Wisconsin. Another NRI told news channel that Indian media must not mention Pakistan and equate it with India in terms of coverage. Troubled Pakistan must be completely neglected entirely by Indian media and India itself. India is much bigger than Paksitan and Modi is much much bigger figure than Pakistani counterpart.

As expected, Shri Modi obliged his supporters and walked to them when he arrived at the New York Palace hotel. Shri Modi waived hand and went as close to them as his security guards permitted him. The NRI community members were standing on a footpath across the road. Many of them were carrying placards. They were shouting slogans too. Police had enclosed them behind a rallying. They told Indian media persons that they were happy that Modi walked to them and accept their reception.
