Narendra Modi’s announcements on longterm visa, visa on arrival, PIOs and OCIs merger

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Madison Square Garden speech in New York today made some announcements. He said:
-PIO card holders will get life-time visa.
-Those long term visa holder on Indian visit will not need to visit police station.
-There are separate treatments to PIOs and OCIs. If some Indian’s spouse is not Indian origin, he/she faces problem at present. In a few months from now, PIO and OCI kids will be treated in same way.
-A new scheme will be prepared in few months from now in this regard.
-Consulate and high commissioners will give long term visas for US nationals.
-For American tourist’s hassle free Indian visit, the electronic travel authorization has been planned. Visa on arrival service will be implemented in near future.
-Outsourcing services for visa will be expanded.
