America is 8th partner country for Vibrant Gujarat summit 2015

The United State of America has agreed to be a partner country in the forthcoming 7th Edition of the biennial mega event ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summitt-2015’ (VGGIS-2015) to be held in January-2015.
The US Ambassador to India Ms Kathlene Stephens has written a letter to Mrs. Patel informing that US has accepted her invitation to be the partner country in the VGGIS-2015.
The Gujarat Government’s spoke-persons, Mr. Nitinbhai Patel (State Health Minister) and Mr. Saurabhbhai Patel (State Finance Minister) today jointly described the role of the US as the partner country in the VGGIS-2015, to be held here between January 11 and 13.
They said, the US has expressed a desire to set-up a booth at Trade Show of the VGGIS and a Country Seminar. Beside these, the US has also expressed a desire to set up a Showcase on Tourism and Education.
The US decision to be the partner country in the VGGIS-2015 was a successful result of the meeting held between Ms Stephens and Mrs. Patel on last August 20, they claimed.
Besides US, the South Africa and United Kingdom have also agreed to be the partner country in the mega investors’ event. With inclusion of US, so far, as many as eight countries have become partner country in the VGGIS-2015, they added.
The US India Business Council (USBIC) has also organized that a delegation consisting of CEOs of the leading companies to take parts in the event. These companies would be providing bright opportunities in the fields like Infrastructure, Tourism, Education and Entertainment.
Spokesman said that “the vibrant summit has now become a knowledge sharing platform and global identity of Gujarat for giving appreciation to the industries. America and India has done a partnership in sectors like education and investment.
The United States had started its commercial office in Ahmedabad before 17 years to establish bilateral relations with Gujarat. He said that “The US Ambassador has mentioned in her letter that they are eager to do a partnership for Indian officials and US department of commerce to be a partner under manufacturing extension partnership (MEP) programme which will do a joint study of labour work force and skill development.
Recently two international delegations of the Gujarat Government had paid a visit U.S.A (West cost) and U.S.A (East cost). These two visits have played an important role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between Gujarat and America, the duo ministers added.
