Vipul Agarwal to be reinstated to Gujarat Police, suspension revoked

The Gujarat government has revoked the suspension of 2001 batch IPS officer Vipul Agarwal, who is an accused in Tulsiram Prajapati encounter case. Agarwal who was considered one of the best IPS officers will be reinstated in a post in near future.
Agarwal was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in October this year. He was in prison after his arrest in May 2010 for his alleged involvement an encounter of criminal Tulsiram Prajapati, a close associate of another criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh.When he was arrested he was DSP of Dahod district.
Agarwal was the Superintendent of Police of Banaskantha at the time of the encounter of Tulsi Prajapati in Banaskantha district.
Author’s note: Vipul aggrawal was known as one of the best police officers. He never taken a single penny from anyone. People in Dahod took out rallies and held demonstration against his arrest. After an MBBS from MAMC in Delhi, after a year at Harvard in Public Policy, he decided to go into IPS and serve the country.
