Newest taluka of Gujarat is Kukarmunda

Kukarmunda will be the latest taluka in Gujarat.
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel who was on visit to remote Kukarmunda for Gunotsav abhiyan of Gujarat government today declared Kukarmunda as new taluka.
She said the state government has already taken in principal decision in this regard, but in couple of days the government will also issue notification in this regard.
It is understood that 60 villages of existing Nizar talukas will be added to new Kukarmunda taluka.
Kukarmunda is located in tribal Tapi district in south Gujarat. Tapi was carved out as separate district from Surat district when Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat.
