GOI approves proposal for new fly-over at Sanand-Uvarsad Junction

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India(GoI) has given in principle approval for the new fly-over on the busy Sanand-Uvarsad junction on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway in Ahmedabad.
The GoI has taken up around Rs.25 crore project in its 2014-15 Annual Development plan. Construction of the new project is expected to start around mid-2015. Proposal of six laning of Sargasan to Vaishnodevi circle stretch is likely to be cleared in next few days which may cost around Rs.95 crore.
The SG Highway development is 100% funded by the Government of India while it is managed by the state Road & Building development department. Recently Rs.55 crore Thaltej under-bridge was completed by the GOI at the cost of Rs.55 crore.
