In pictures: Uttarardh Mahotsav kicks off at Modhera Surya Mandir

Two days long Uttarardha Mahotsav kicked off today evening at medieval Surya Mandir(sun temple) site of Modhera in north Gujarat. For last many years, Gujarat Tourism and Cultural activities department of Government of Gujarat organize this festival on the occasion of Uttarayan (Makar Sankranti). The entire complex of medieval Sun temple is decorated with lights and cultural events, mainly dances dedicated to Suryanarayan and other Gods are presented by artists from Gujarat and across India.
