Local villagers opposed toll tax collection at Gajan toll booth in Arvalli district of north Gujarat. Arvalli district’s RTO office has been started near Gajan which is located 5 km away from Modasa. Those wanting to go to RTO need to pass through Gajan toll tax. Locals demand service road so that they can bypass the toll booth and use service road. On Monday a group of people blocked the road and protested against toll tax collection demanding service road. Locals complain that RTO office is located just after Gajan booth and they don’t want to pay toll tax just to reach RTO. Following protest on Monday, Rural Police reached Gajan toll booth and held a meeting for one hour with toll booth operator company L&T and protesters.
