Commissioning of four Coast Guard ships at Porbandar

Indian Coast Guard will get four new ships on May 14th. These ships will be commissioned at Porbandar. Vice Admiral Bhist will dedicate them. One of the four ships is Ankit war ship while other three are Charlie series patrolling boats C-419, C-420 and C-155. Out of three, one patrolling ship will be deployed at Pipavav while two will be deployed near Goa. War ship Ankit will be deployed at INS Sardar Patel in Porbandar.
Ankit war ship:
– 33 nautical mile speed
– 2720 kw engine
– 290 tonne weight
– Cochin shipyard make
– Integrated gun mount with indegionus fire control system
– Integrated bridge management system
– Integrated machinery control system
