Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam passes away

Former President A P J Abdul Kalam (84) passed away in Shillong today evening.
Dr. Kalam collapsed at the Indian Institute of Management-Shillong while delivering a lecture to the students of the B-school.
He was admitted to a hospital here in a critical condition.
“The former president was brought almost dead to our hospital. He was in a critical condition. He was in the Intensive Care Unit. We tried to revive the patient. We suspect that it could be cardiac arrest,” John Sailo Ryntathiang, director of Bethany Hospital said.
Dr Kalam’s body will be taken in helicopter to Guwahati, from where it will be taken to Dalhi in a special plane. Meghalaya Governor will travel with body to Delhi.
