Gujarat DGP visits spot of double murder in Bharuch, ATS team moved

Gujarat Police chief DGP PC Thakur today visited Bharuch town in central Gujarat and observed the spot of incident on Sevashram road here where two BJP leaders were shot dead yesterday evening.
Former district BJP leader Shri Shirish Bangali and district Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) general secretary Shri Pragnesh Mistry were sitting at Bangali’s printing press on busy Sevashram road when two persons on bike whose face were covered came there with gun and killed Bangali and Mistry.
While Bangali was declared dead when taken to hospital, Mistry died after brief treatment in hospital. After postmorterm today morning conducted by panel of doctors, they were cremated in the afternoon in presence of senior state and district BJP leaders.
Taking serious note of this incident, the state police chief arrived in Bharuch, visited the spot of incident and held meeting with senior police officers.
The state police has moved Anti Terrorist Squad(ATS) team led by ATS SP from Ahmedabad to investigate the case which is being probed by Local Crime Branch in Bharuch under supervision of Range DIG Anupamsinh Gehlot and SP Shobha Bhutda.
