Nalco institutes Kalidas Awards for Sanskrit scholars

Odisha-based Government of India’s Navratna PSU Nalco today said it has instituted a state-level award to be given away every year to two eminent scholars for their contributions in the field of Sanskrit.
The annual recognition named ‘Nalco Kalidas Awards’ will carry a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each and a citation, to be handed over at Nalco Foundation Day celebration on January 7.
This was announced by Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO at a seminar on ‘India is the symbol of tolerance’, organised by a socio-cultural association at Puri today.
Chand was felicitated by various organisations on the occasion.
