Two industrial units in Changodar found discharging polluted water to canal

Two industrial firms in Changodar area near Ahmedabad, Manojbhai Parikh owned Precision Bearings Pvt. Ltd and Divyang Patel owned Brussels Laboratory Pvt. Ltd are caught discharging polluted chemical liquid in Narmada canal. Changodar police station has filed FIR against the owners under section 277, 278, 284 and Pollution Control Act 1974 section 2DD.

recision Bearings is into manufacturing and export of bearings while Brussels makes acidity and pain relief drugs. Gujarat Pollution Control Board(GPCB) has taken separate actions again these firms.
According to PSI Koladra from SOG, Ahmedabad District said premises of both companies were checked on February 7 and it was found that they had constructed underground tanks and connecting pipelines for discharge of polluted black liquid into the Narmada canal. The samples were collected from the place and those responsible were booked.
