Month long strike of Tata Motors Sanand plant workers ends

A month-long labour strike of over 400 permanent workers at Sanand plant of Tata Motors near Ahmedabad has been over. Striking workers would resume work from tomorrow.
Tata Motors Workers and management reached a consensus over the issue of 26 suspended workers after intervention of the state labour secretary.
A meeting was held in his presence in capital Gandhinagar today.
As per the decisions taken in the meeting, the company will take back 13 suspended workers while allownce of rest 13 will continue till enquiry by independent panel is over. Decision on 2 workers suspended in December last year will be taken within this month as enquiry is over in that case.
