In response to question that favorable news(for BJP) are not coming from Gujarat and there are speculations on removing Anandiben Patel from power, BJP general secretary and election strategist Ram Madhav said the BJP in Gujarat has today capacity to win even more seats in assembly compared to its existing tally.
“I know Gujarat very well. You speak same ahead of every election. I remember there was an election in 2012 when there was news that everything was not right and Modiji will have problem but what happened was that we won highest ever seats.. In 2017 same will happen. There’s BJP government in power in Gujarat for last 20 years. BJP won Gujarat in 1998 and hasn’t lost it so far. I assure you we will complete 25 years without any hesitation. We have 127 MLAs in Gujarat assembly, we have capacity to get elected more MLAs compared to it.” he said.
In response to question on Patel community related problem for BJP in Gujarat, Ram Madhav said, “Problems are there. As a ruling party we will find solution also of these issues. In response to Patel community’s demand, announcement has been made for 10% reservation quota. We will tackle the issues, but support of people is with BJP very much even today.”
