August 03, 2016
Junagadh: Rashtriya Swamaysevak Sangh(RSS) arm Samajik Samrasta Manch, Gujarat today organized Samajik Samrasta Sammelan in Una town of Saurasthtra region in presence of sants and mahants.
In this sammelan, sants and mahants said their feelings are with the victim people.
They appealed that such incidents should not be taken as reflection of entire society.
Attempts by vested interest people to provoke the society and create divisions should be failed by all people jointly.
RSS western region head Jayantibhai Bhadesia speaking in this convention said: political and anti-social people are trying to disturb peace and harmony after Samadhiyala incident. Sangh has right from its beginning attempted to achieve samras Hindu samaj.
The saints passed following resolutions:
– The incident at Samadhiyala near Una and other such incidents are condemnable and inhuman.
– Sants strongly oppose goondagiri in the name of cow protection. Anti social activities in garb of ‘cow protection’ should stop. Atrocity against innocent brothers in the name of cow protection is social crime. Government should take strict actions against such persons.
– Untouchability is major disease in Hindu society. It is mentality prevailing among some people. Sant community is determined to free Hindu society from this mental disease. We disapprove untouchability. Discrimination between higher and lower (caste/class) should go. Practicing untouchability against our brothers is sin. We appeal that liberation of Hindu society from this sin should be every citizen’s goal of life.
– Hindu dharm’s fundamental thinking is that there’s ‘parmatma’ (God) in every living being’s heart. Untouchability, difference between higher and lower (caste) is unacceptable. Ekatmata and Samajik Samrasta is breath of Hindu society. We expect every Hindu to be committed to this.
