20 Jains to become monk in Diksha ceremony at Surat

Surat: 20 Jain community persons will leave worldly life and become monk in Surat in grand ‘diksha’ ceremony during 14-18 November. The function in this regard has been held near Makkai Pul in Adajan area. Jain monk Yashovijaysuriji and Bhaktiyogacharyaji will conduct the diksha ceremony. The city of Surat had previously witnessed diskha ceremony in year 2000 in which 28 Jains had become monk. In 2014, 45 had become monk in a function. Among those taking diksha this time are four persons from same family in Nanpura area.
