Gujarat Congress announces series of agitation programme against demonetization move

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress President Bharatsinh Solanki today announced five-day agitation against central government’s demonetization move and situation that has emerged after that.
Briefing the media persons Solanki at state party headquarters said Congress party would on November 24 hold district wise agitation programmes under which produce like milk, fruits, vegetables will be taken to district collector offices and payment would be sought for produce.
Solanki said on November 25, the party would block railway and state bus transport traffic across the state and will hold scooter, cycle and tractor rallies on November 26.
He further said, party cadre would rush to residents of BJP MPs and MLAs and seek Rs 100 notes in exchange of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on November 27.
He said the party will join nationwide strike declared by all opposition parties jointly on November 28 and ensure successful Gujarat wide strike.
Meanwhile, Congress cadres today held protest at Reserve Bank of India(RBI) office in Ahmedabad and dumped vegetables, milk and other rural produce on the gate.
