25 leave worldly life to become Jain monk at Tharad in North Gujarat

Palanpur: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today attended diksha function at Tharad in north Gujarat in which 25 persons left worldly life to become Jain monk. The Cheif Minister felicitated those leaving worldly life at pilgrim place Varakhadi here and flagged off the procession. He opened Jethiba Bhavan, new dharmshala, bhojanshala and Chandrashanti hall. He said the government is going to build a safe walkway for Jain monks(who don’t use vehicles but only choose to walk) between Palitana and Garadhar and Ahmedabad and Shankheshwar. Rupani on this occassion also unveiled a statue of Thirupal Dhruv who set up Tharad town.
