Firing by PAAS conveners in Hardik Patel’s presence, police investigation on

Ahmedabad: The police in home-town of PAAS convener Hardik Patel is investigating an alleged incident of firing by 7 conveners of his outfit in his presence during a marriage ceremony of his cousin in Chandranagar area of Viramgam town.
PI of Virmgam, the home-town of Hardik Patel situated in Ahmedabad district, V B Jadeja today said that he has received a complaint last evening from a local and relative of the PAAS convener about the incident. ‘One Hardik Kartik Patel (known as Chhota Hardik) had yesterday handed over a video clip along with complaint claiming that 7 other conveners of Hardik’s outfit had opened fire in air in presence of Hardik in a marriage ceremony of a cousin sister of Hardik that took place in the night of February 2 this year in Chandranagar (the locality of Viramgam where Hardik also resides). We are investigating the matter before filing a formal FIR in this regard,’ he said.
‘In the video clip Hardik is visible at the venue and some of the PAAS leaders are seen dancing with weapons in their hands. One convener of PAAS and aide of Hardik, identified as Hemang Patel resident of Rajkot, is seen firing two rounds in air from his gun. We are first verifying the authenticity of the video clip and then see whether the weapons visible in it are legal or illegal. After a detailed investigation and inquiry, If it is established that the video and the complain is true then a formal FIR will be lodged and action will be taken accordingly,’ the PI said.
Notably, love for weapons of the PAAS leader is well-known as in one of his profile pictures in social media he had posed with a gun for which he also had to face criticism from various quarters.
