Vadodara Ring Road construction likely to start in August this year

Vadodara: Construction work for ring road around Vadodara city is likely to kick off in upcoming month of August. The project will be taken up jointly by Vadoara Municipal Corporation(VMC), Vadodara Urban Development Authority(VUDA) and Road and Building department of Government of Gujarat at a cost of Rs 120 crore.
A 38 km long ring road will have 11 km portion in VMC limit between Sama – Chhani – Gorva stretch while 16 km area Gorva – Ankodia – Khanpur – Bhayli – Jambusar narrow gauge will be in VUDA area. Another 19 km stretch is located in the State government limits.
In VMC limit, there shall be one railway over bridge and one flyover bridge. Tenders are likely to be floated on 1st July.
The ring road will have 10 meter carriage way on both sides and 2.5 meter divider in the center with plantation through drip irrigation.
